Guram Batiashvili opens Extraordinary General Assembly Session
EAJC General Assembly convenes in Ramat Gan

On July 24, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) Extraordinary General Assembly session began in Ramat Gan, Israel. 79 delegates from 19 countries convened at the Assembly. The EGA session was opened by the oldest assembly delegate, Guram Batiashvili. The Assembly approved decisions on a number of key questions concerning the reorganization of the Congress’s governing bodies, its re-registration, and the new EAJC Charter. The EAJC EGA delegates approved the resignation of EAJC President Julius Meinl, which he had requested earlier. Additionally, the EAJC Treasurer was fired.
The General Assembly is the highest governing body of the EAJC. The EGA will continue its work until July 25.
